This policy ensures that all certifications reflect authentic, verified performance or successful course completion.
🔒 Purpose of This Policy
The purpose of this policy is to:
Protect the reputation and credibility of Top of Descent certifications
Ensure compliance with ethical, academic, and professional standards
deter misuse of credentials in military, government, and corporate settings
Provide a fair and structured process for investigating concerns
🚫 Grounds for Revocation

Submission of altered or fabricated evaluation reports, military records, JSTs, award citations, or resumes
Use of AI-generated or non-original written submissions without disclosure
2. Misrepresentation of Experience
Falsifying job roles, leadership responsibilities, certifications, or command achievements
Presenting another individual's accomplishments as one’s own
3. Plagiarism or Academic Dishonesty

Using generative tools or templates without applying authentic, personal input
4. Misuse of Credential
Misrepresenting the certification as endorsed by the Department of Defense or a federal agency
Claiming credentials not formally earned through the Fast Track process or course completion
5. Violation of Terms and Conditions
Breach of the certification agreement signed during the submission or enrollment process

📝 Revocation Process
Top of Descent follows a clear and fair process to investigate and, if necessary, revoke certifications:
Step 1: Initiation of Review
Concerns are submitted by staff, peers, or external agencies.
The credentialing team begins a formal document review.
Step 2: Notification of Concern
The individual is contacted with details of the concern.
A 10-business-day window is provided to respond and submit additional evidence.
Step 3: Internal Panel Review
A credentialing panel (minimum of two reviewers) evaluates the full submission and any rebuttal materials.
A written decision is issued within 15 business days of initial notification.
Step 4: Revocation and Record Update
If revocation is upheld, the certificate is invalidated.
A record is made internally, and digital badges are deactivated where applicable.
Any affected parties (e.g., employers, commanders) may be notified upon request or in compliance with legal obligations.
🛡️ Right to Appeal
All individuals have the right to appeal a revocation decision within 30 calendar days of notice.
Appeals must be submitted in writing with new evidence or grounds for reconsideration.
Final decisions are reviewed by the Credentialing Oversight Committee and issued within 10 business days.
🔗 Enforcement and Transparency
Revoked certifications are tracked internally and excluded from verification requests.
Top of Descent reserves the right to report fraudulent activity to the appropriate chain of command or employer if military or federal credentials were used deceptively.
